Teresa TSIEN 錢黃碧君
Teresa is Professor of Practice (Gerontology) of the Department of Applied Social Sciences, Professional Consultant of the Institute of Active Ageing, Hong Kong Polytechnic University. She is also a part-time visiting lecturer for the MSc in Clinical Gerontology programme at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. She specializes in teaching and research on dementia care, carer support, lifelong learning and active ageing. She is a reviewer for the British Journal of Social Work, Hong Kong Social Workers Association Journal, Hong Kong Nursing Journal and HKSAR Central Policy Unit. Teresa was appointed to various public boards by the HKSAR government, such as YauTsimMong South District Committee and Healthy City Committee, Opportunities for the Elderly Project, Kowloon City Fight Crime Committee, Social Welfare Advisory Committee, Community Chest and Guardianship Board. She serves as Vice Chairman of Senior Citizen Home Safety Association, Hon. Treasurer of the Hong Kong Alzheimer’s Disease Association, a member of the Elderly Committee of the Hong Kong Council of Social Service. She also serves as an advisor to 10 non-government organizations.
